All the materials used in my model were intenionally done to project an image of contrast between the elements. one stair is solid timber, with a natural and elegant feel to it, while the other stair i have in my model is lightweight aluminium, with thin lines and seems as if it is held together by thin floating pieces. the connection of all the spaces are felt by the materials used with in each work space, such as the glazing and the floor materials as they are the same throughout the building. The feel for the space that i am trying to project is an Industrial feel with hints of natural elements to help bring the 'outside in'.
